Design in Mind Events owner, Amy Huth, had the honor of being the Event Coordinator for The Bezark Company at the 2010 White House Halloween Event. This was the second year that the White House hosted a Halloween extravaganza for local students and children of military families. The North Lawn was elaborately decorated with vibrant colored mums, kale stalks, gourds, squash, and pumpkin totems. Along the driveway were towering scarecrows and a whimsical ensemble of carved pumpkin displays designed by local elementary school children. Performances included a high energy cirque-style act by "Playing by Air Productions," hoop dancing instruction from "Hoop Dance DC," and entertainers from Universal Theme Park-Florida. The President and First Lady welcomed and handed out treats to the costumed children gathered on the lawn.
